Description
V2s were a common sight on both fast freight and passenger trains on the London Extension, often working expresses like the Master Cutler or South Yorkshireman. In this scenario, you will drive one on a portion of a London Marylebone to Sheffield Victoria express. Beginning just outside Nottingham Victoria, you will draw into the station, pick up passengers, then run nonstop to Annesley, where you will hand over to another driver. Duration: about 20 minutes.

DLC Requirements:
Netherfield: Nottingham Network (Thompson B1, Stanier 8F, Robinson O4 and LMS 4F all come bundled with the route; ensure they are installed before trying to run this scenario)

@Fairrosamund I think there's a way to set up a route within a scenario for that to work. Let me do some experiments.

It would be a good idea with your proposed new scenario.If it started with the arrival at Sheffield by a steam engine then a change over to electric traction before commencing the journey to Manchester.

Enjoyed this scenario, well done. I was doing 60.8 mph at the end using the same settings as pjohn, but pressure in red. Good run thanks for sharing.

This may help your decision,back in the day when I travelled to Sheffield the steam engine which pulled us to Sheffield was always taken off at Victoria and a electric engine attached for the journey "over the hill" to Manchester and vise versa upon the return journey.

@Fairrosamund I have plans to make a set for the Woodhead route, so a run of the Master Cutler is certainly on the books. Not sure whether to have an EM2 or A3 powering it, though.

This scenario brings back happy memories of when I was a kid and used to travel with my parents to Marylebone on the up "Master Cutler"express.Spend the day sightseeing around London and then return home on the down Cutler.Always pulled by a clean V2 or A3 off Darnall shed.Many thanks for sharing this one......
