Report a translation problem
The sheath protects the blade from damage and the elements outside of battle so it was still important, the only difference between it and smaller swords in regards to sheaths was how it was drawn for battle.
Western knights had long swords with long sheaths too of course, and from what I've read they either did the same thing as samurai with their nodachi, or more commonly had their squire pull the sheath off and later put it back onto the sword.
Maybe just have it as a separate mod so everyone gets what they want.
Either way not a deal breaker for me.
I couldn't find meaningful ways to add Meitous for every new weapon through-out the world without making them over saturated so the overhauls only add a few.
