Description
"Introducing the one, the only- Freddy Fazbear!"

(WARNING: this character contains loud noises, visual effects, and maybe a few jumpscares!)

Introduction

Freddy Fazbear, the titular mascot hailing from the hit indie horror game franchise Five Nights at Freddy's, enters the world of Rivals! Possessed by a vengeful spirit haunting the decrepit halls of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, Freddy will stop at nothing to exact revenge on his would-be killer.

Overview

Freddy is a heavyweight, excelling at countering opponents to rack up damage at close range. Landing counters will give Freddy a boost to his Faz-Meter, enabling certain perks. He also comes equipped with a unique install mode, which he can use to close-in on his prey to unleash his full fury.

Faz-Meter Perks

Level 1: Freddy gains a boost to his run speed.

Level 2: Freddy gains access to a new attack: the Freddles, which you can access by holding down the down tilt attack on use. Freddles remain on-screen for quite a while, biting anyone they can get their claws on.

Level 3: Freddy gains access to his unique power outage state.

Specials

Neutral Special: Haywire/Power Outage/Jumpscare

Haywire: Freddy's neutral special is a counter, which sees him temporarily malfunction. The longer you hold it down, the longer Freddy will malfunction, before needing to "boot up" again. Letting go of the special button anytime will cancel the active state. If Freddy is hit as he is glowing, he'll scare the opponent, sending them flying away! Doing so will also net Freddy some charge to to his Faz-Meter, which can be seen above your character hud. Any attacks countered by Freddy are nullified, including projectiles, allowing for effective counterzoning. If Freddy is parried, he will lose some charge. If Freddy is KO'd however, he will lose all of his charge.

Power Outage: If your Faz-Meter has reached its limit, inputting neutral special will see Freddy temporarily dim the lights, his eyes glowing a ghostly black and white as he enters his terrifying Power Outage phase. During this phase, Freddy will gain passive armor, a speed boost, and access to a powerful new attack, his iconic Jumpscare.

There is a tradeoff however, as during this state Freddy loses access to most of his defensive options, such as his parry and roll/dodge. Attacks dealt by opponents during this phase will chip away at his Dread level, causing the state to end sooner.

Jumpscare: Freddy's strongest attack by far- Jumpscare is a quick, high damage, intense scream that can secure stocks extremely early! However, it will cause his power outage install to end, so be sure to use it wisely.

Forward Special: Bear Lunge

Bear Lunge is a command grab that sees Freddy lunge forward, biting any opponent unlucky enough to exist within his grasp! The attack is fairly straightforward, being a decent burst option in neutral, or potential recovery option. By holding down the special button during its startup, Freddy to enter a stance wherein he bites repeatedly, each bite indicating an increase in the range of his lunge, sending him even further. The attack can also be cancelled into a jump or aerial.

Down Special: Celebrate!

Celebrate is a collection of ranged attacks inspired by Freddy's adventures in FNAF World! Upon using each attack, they will switch in a predetermined order that cannot be manipulated. This order includes the following attacks:

Mic Toss: Freddy tosses his microphone forward, dealing minor flinching damage. An effective way to surprise your opponents.

Hot Cheese: Freddy summons three blobs of hot cheese from the sky, allowing for oppressive offstage control against high recoveries.

Pizza Wheel: A strong, but slow multihitting attack, during which Freddy summons a spinning pizza. Useful for oppressing foes in neutral.

Up Special: Flying Head

Freddy transforms into a ghostly disembodied head, reminiscent of Golden Freddy's jumpscare from Five Nights at Freddy's 2. During its startup, it can be angled up or down before flying forward in the indicated direction. Then, after release, you can angle the trajectory to mix it up a bit. It is rather vulnerable on startup, however, so use it carefully.

you only lose one charge on parry
i understand the current system is more linear but it is a very generous counter (if you hold special down) so i think it's fine

i miss the old dread meter. it feels weird to have to land 3 parries while your opponent only needs one to send you right back to zero. also instead of building it up as the opponent makes mistakes it's instead just a simple parry system.

i think the first hit on the dash attack is too strong, playing him overall feels good but that move really outshines a lot of his neutrals

@FULKN4T2Y you can hold down his neutral special so it's closer to joker's rebels guard in smash bros :]

It feels weird that his neutral special is a parry, there is already a parry button.

They got rid of the faz-blaster? I'm curious why
