Res's DD FFB mod

Description
RDDFFBM is a fine tuned FFB mod for direct drive wheels.
-Better weight transfer and grip feedback.
-Reduced rumble for dirt, gravel, and curbs.
-Hard landings and sudden bumps have significantly reduced force.

*A hardcore version of this mod is also available if you want harder collisions, rumble, and bumps.

IMPORTANT:

Lots of wheel bases are not correctly recognized by WF. In order to make sure you are getting the best out of your rig follow these quick steps:

1. Navigate to your Steam Library\steamapps\common\Wreckfest\tools
2. Holding down shift, right click anywhere in the folder and select "Open Powershell Window here"
3. Paste "./deviceout.exe >deviceoutOUTPUT.txt" into the shell and hit enter. A new file called "deviceoutOUTPUT.txt" will be created in that same directory.
4. Close the powershell window and open the "deviceoutOUTPUT.txt"
5. You need the "productName" and "instance" for your wheel. If you have multiple entries for your wheel (pedals, handbrake, etc) you will need to enter them all in the next step.....

6. Navigate to "Steam Library\steamapps\common\Wreckfest" and open the "customWheels.json"
7. Replace "productName" with the "productName" from the deviceoutOUTPUT.txt and "productGUID" with the "instance" taken from the file. Dont worry about doing this for keyboards, mice, etc. Only the wheel components. Save and you are done.

Example:
{
"productName": "MOZA R5 Base",
"productGUID": "{1524E0B0-A25D-11ED-8001-444553540000}"
},

Have fun and thanks for checking it out.

This mod helped heaps. The original FFB bumps in this game were ridiculous until I used this mod. Now its much more balanced and enjoyable.

I use 340 degree for my moza R5 with 50% saturation, JB. It is a 900 degree wheel, though. Gotta be able to dodge quick :P

@resignator
You have steering saturation at 50%. I assume your wheel has a default of 900 degrees rotation then?

50% Saturation with 900 degrees rotation is 450 degrees actual rotation.

This is the same rotation I use on my Fanatec wheel. The wheelbase I have actually though is a belt driven one and not DD. - CSL Elite V1.1.

I have the sensitivity set directly to 450degrees on my wheel and run 100% saturation in game, but ultimately its the same difference.

450 degrees rotation works well for Wreckfest.

Hardcore version is now available as a separate mod. Contains default values for collisions and rumble...for those that like it hard.

Thank you very much!

Sure, KopoJB. Will put those values back to default in a separate version and post it later tonight. Keep an eye out.

resignator, hi man. Could you make an alternative version of the mod? I really like the control of the car in your mod :WH3_horror_Blegh::WH3_horror_Blegh::WH3_horror_Blegh:, you can bring back the effects:
- rumble for dirt, gravel, and curbs.
- Hard landings and sudden bumps

Thanks, Yamper. I developed while using a Moza R5. Happy to hear the R9 is lining up well for you. I still have some testing to do and plan to update this mod (if needed) so let me know if you have any complaints.
