Note: There's no difficulty setting in this game, but it feels like playing on Easy difficulty most of the time.


This achievement list can be done in any order, but the below order is recommended as it eases you into the game while you tackle the achievement list:

1. Beat Story Mode with each character
   
2. Beat Arcade Mode with any character while performing a 4-hit combo and defeating an opponent in under 10 seconds during your playthrough
   
3. Get 4 wins in Survival Mode

Verdict Guilty features 8 playable characters: 4 cops and 4 robbers. Here's an overview of each character:

















Since the achievement list requires you to beat Story Mode with every character and this guide recommends doing so first, you should familiarize yourself with every character and be able to determine which ones suit your fighting style the most while going through the Story Mode portion. Gyeong and Hyuk are great characters to use for the non-story achievements thanks to Tornado Punch and Rifle Low respectively.

This game has full controller support and can be played with a PlayStation controller if you enable Steam Input (DualShock 4 is confirmed to work). Here are the PlayStation controls:


Note: All notations in this guide refer to the Xbox controls.


Here are a few general tips for the game:

• Specials deal more damage than regular hits/punches and are quick and easy to input, so it's recommended to use them often.
  
• When playing as a cop, throws are useful as they handcuff your opponents and leave them entirely defenseless, thus allowing you to land several easy hits on them.
  
• When playing as a robber, throws aren't really useful as they don't have any noticeable benefits, so don't rely on them.

Beat Story Mode with each of the 8 playable characters to unlock the following achievements:




Story Mode consists of a series of fights that you need to win while satisfying a certain objective during each match (e.g. defeat your opponent using only punches or kicks). Here are some tips for the objectives you will encounter:

"Defeat opponent using only punches or kicks":
Spam punches and/or kicks. Combos are also valid.

"Defeat opponent using only throws":
Perform throws (RT) and spam follow-up attacks while the throw effect is still active.

"Defeat opponent using only specific move":
Spam the specified move, nothing else deals any damage so don't bother performing any other moves. Note using "specific combo" variant: you don't have to do the full combo to deal damage, i.e. pressing 2 of the 3 buttons also works.

"You are handicapped from your last fight":
It's only a slight handicap as you have most of your health, so just defeat your opponent normally.

"Defeat opponent before time ends":
You have 39 seconds in the first round and 29 seconds in the subsequent round(s) to defeat your opponent.

"Survive before time ends":
You need to survive for 39 seconds (1 round only). This objective can be a little tricky depending on your opponent, but the strategy remains the same. Walk away from your opponent till the end then jump away from them when they reach you and walk to the other side. Rinse and repeat, and block if needed.

Perform a 4-hit combo in Arcade Mode, defeat an Arcade opponent in under 10 seconds, and beat Arcade Mode to unlock the following achievements:




You can use any character to unlock these achievements, although a cop character is recommended thanks to the handcuffs they have that leave your opponents entirely defenseless. Here's one way to unlock these achievements using Gyeong:

1. Handcuff your opponent (RT) and unleash Gyeong's Tornado Punch special (→→+A) on them a couple of times while they're handcuffed, repeat until you defeat them and you should beat them in under 10 seconds for the 10 Seconds! achievement;
       
2. Handcuff your opponent (RT) and quickly input →+X (→+Y)x3 to perform a 4-hit combo for the 4 Hits! achievement;
       
3. Defeat all remaining opponents however you want and you'll unlock the Arcade mode! achievement when you finish Arcade Mode.

Get 4 wins in Survival Mode to unlock the following achievement:




This isn't a challenging task. Each match consists of just 1 round, and you regain a bit of health after each win. Here are a couple of ways you can go about this achievement:

• Play as Gyeong and perform throws on your opponents, then hit them with Tornado Punch (→→+A) a few times while they're handcuffed. Rinse and repeat.
      
• Play as Hyuk and repeatedly use his Rifle Low special (hold X) from a distance to constantly knock your opponents over and prevent them from getting close to you.
