the barracks is the building in your main settlement(starting one) it will have a little red icon on it delete that building as in select to destroy that then your set as the new building as the barracks it overwrites the base game one and thus trying to have both will break the units

What do you mean dismantle troop barracks? does it have to be a certain settlement ?Can not figure out how to get this to work. A better explanation in the description would be nice. I have a settlement with no buildings and yet i still cant recruit them, why do I need to dismantle if i haven't even built anything yet.

For people who don't know how to recruit these units, you have to dismantle the local troops barracks and build the new building.
