A little instrument for planning out teleportational networks.
--
A Telepad network enables you to quickly navigate the world with Winona's Portasol. The core principle is that if you are standing on a Telepad and there are multiple other Telepads located at the same distance from the current one, you can choose which Telepad you will arrive to by walking a couple of steps to its direction (make sure you are still standing on the current pad).

How to use:
Starting out:
Open the map and place your first marker with CTRL (changeable) + LMB. Markers are clickable and can be selected with LMB or removed with RMB. Newly placed markers are selected automatically.
While a marker is selected (has yellow color), you can place additional markers around that one with LMB.
You can remove all existing markers at once by typing /tarch_clear into the chat.

--
For better precision, markers can also be placed with CTRL + LMB over a placed Telepad; or manually, by typing /tarch_set into the chat (no Telepad required if using the command). However, these actions will fail if the new marker happens to be too close to an existing one.

Precision is already taken care of:
Once 2 markers are placed, the mod will measure the distance between them and force that exact distance onto every new marker. If you attempt to put a marker too close to an existing one, the mod will snap it to an optimal location automatically. No careful aiming required, let the mod do the job for you.

See it for yourself in the gif below:

Finishing up:
The markers are projected onto the world as indicators that looks like little yellow circles with arrows pointing out. You can place Telepads at an indicator's exact position by taking a pad into your cursor slot, holding CTRL and pressing LMB somewhere nearby that indicator. Once again, no aiming needed.

Note: if you have both Don't Starve Alone and Geometric Placement on, you'll need to hold CTRL until the pad is placed, otherwise it will be snapped according to grid and therefore inaccurate.

Now you just need to deploy a Telepad at each marker, power them up and enjoy your network! The arrows will show you available directions for teleportation. Also, did I mention the layouts are saved for each world?

New features
Net splitter
If you ever needed to split all distances between telepads in half, today is your lucky day. Press number 2 key (Inv 2 control) on the map screen and watch the magic happen. In fact, all number keys work (except 1) and they will split your network ways in up to 10 parts.
Words are good but gifs are better:

Ctrl+Z Ctrl+Y
Thaaat's right! If you make any undesired accidental change, you can just Ctrl+Z it away. And if you change your mind afterwards, you can bring it back with Ctrl+Y. These key combinations are quite familliar, aren't they?
The mod will only remember 20 last changes made to your net. Erasing or splitting the net are considered 1 change.
I really-really hope this feature won't cause bugs.
Anyway, here's the obligatory demonstration:

Item & Pad Highlighting
For your convenience, whenever you have the Portasol equipped, the mod will hlghlight all the items inside teleport range, as well as the nearby telepad (so that you can know for sure whether you are still in its range or not). The feature can be disabled in the configs, and the highlight colors are fully configurable too - with Configs Extended.

It's a pity, but it's already very useful, come on

@l, sorry to disappoint, but it is the key principle of the mod that the distance between adjacent telepads stays the same. Changing that rule would likely require a full rewrite.

When in a cave, you may not need full map transmission, but the mod is not easy to use in the two situations shown in the figure. I want short-distance transmission, that is, two transmission systems that do not interfere with each other.Picture 1: https://pic1.imgdb.cn/item/68dc6ffec5157e1a884b8ea0.png Picture 2: https://pic1.imgdb.cn/item/68dc7007c5157e1a884b8ea1.png

Can we add a configuration to select only the center of the land when selecting a location?

@Bẹc G, whoops, missed an edge case. It should be fixed now. Thanks for the report.

"The future" has come and I indeed did something.

@Parusoid, the mod unfortunately does not have such functionality at the time being. I might do something about it in the future.

I noticed the mod doesn't highlight the arrow that points the the pad Im about to teleport. Instead, all the arrows are displayed and when they're close to each other, there is no way of knowing which direction Im about to telepot. Is there an option to add a feature that highlights that arrow?

thanks for mod

could you add features similar as in electroely's version:
see which items are about to get teleported when you use the Telebrella / Portasol;
and i also wanna know whether i am exactly standing in the current pad'range particularly when i am teleporting items.
