u will understand why L4D2 needs those unrealistic big mags after this....

All realistic magazine size are based on wikipedia and imfdb.

Then there's 3 stage in rebalance process.
First stage is calculating DPS. Calculate one full cycle of a weapon's dmg and time spend, which means shoot to empty then reload.
Then, calculate DPS from it. This is not a burst DPS but include reload time's effect.
Lastly, change true mag size, use DPS to calulate back weapon's dmg.

However I feel this is not enough. Because there's much more elements can't be measured. Too frequent reload is much more destructive than a single DPS calculate.
So i made two compensate calculation.
One is how much reload time is in a cycle. Which means "reload time / full cycle time". Let's call it reload time percantage. Calculate how longer than before, which is "new balanced reload time percantage / vanilla reload time percantage". Let's call it "rate A".
Another one is magazine size percentage. "old clipsize / new clipsize". This is "rate B".

This is not over. U see, the initial rebalance actually extended player's carry fire power. This is a invisible buff. So i decided, not straightly but let those two new factors ^(1/3).

Update: Because it's continues multiply, it should be ^1/8 instead of ^ 1/3.

So it is "final dmg = first balanced dmg * rate A^(1/8) * rate B^(1/8)"
After all this, i got this final result. It's far from perfect or something, just trying to play around with my own opinion.

Shotgun now has a different algorithm and plus an extra factor - their pellets covered volume.

Update: new method for shotguns. Calculate all other weapons new DPS, and based on vanilla DPS, adjust shotgun to fit in certain position. Such as Tier1 shotgun's DPS are around UZI, and Tier2's DPS * 0.85 is around AK's.
When compareing shotgun's DPS, to compensate their spread talent, use their spread volume's delta's delta's detla(which is silly yes) to adjust it.
The final result is:
raw DPS / (1+(volume's deldeldelta of distance) / new/old clipsize rate ^(1/8) = fixed DPS
then use fixed DPS to fit their postion in arsenal.

Also some weapons are further rebalanced. Read below.

These are the details
:Weapon: clipsize change, dmg change

Pistol: 15 - 12, 36 - 45
Magnum: 8 - 7, 80 - 90

UZI: 50 - 32, 20 - 27
Mac: 50 - 30, 25 - 36
MP5: 50 - 30, 24 - 35

Pump: 8 - 6, 25*10 - 31*10
Chrome: 8 - 6, 31*8 - 36*8

M16: 50 - 30, 33 - 45
Scar: 60 - 30 , 44 - 67
AK: 40 - 30, 58 - 68
SG552: 50 - 20, 33 - 65 (yeah imfdb said that mag size is 20.....)

Spas: 10 - 8, 28*9 - 31*9
XM: 10 - 5, 23*11 - 29*11 (again... civilian version have 5 shells)

Ruger: 15 - 10, 90 - 121
G3: 30 - 20 , 90 - 113
Scout: 15 - 10, 105 - 164
(Result is 123. Finetuned to 164)
AWP: 20 - 5, 115 - 326
(Result is 209. Finetuned to 326)
Sniper rifles are further adjusted based on special infected.
G3 is nerfed for extra 1 shot to bigger special compare to Ruger.
Scout is raised up for one or two bullet lesser shot on specials, and bigger type is lesser 1 shot than Ruger.
Awp is reduced to just enough for one-shot kill all infected below Charger. This is mainly nerfed for tank, it need one or two more shots depends on difficulty.

M60: 150 - 100, 50 - 90
Result is 75. Ignored later factors and ^(1/3) process. Later finetuned to 90. M60 always one-shot kill normal infected. Count is much more important than dmg when facing hordes. Buffed to 90 for a little bit extra dmg to specials.

why does the SG-552 deal more damage than the M16? Its practically the same in vanilla and even fires the same cartridge

Answer to previous commentary: I think that M16 is already balanced as it is, its fast (both at shooting and reloading) and accurate in comparison to the other rifles.

Beautiful mod, makes each shot count and highly awarding if landed right on target. In addition it also rightly balancing out CSS weapons but unfortunately AWP is still useless if it could take out S.I. in a single hit then it would've been somewhat effective (Tank and Witch are bosses class, not S.I.)

如果同时能改动一下精度和后坐力那按照真实弹匣和伤害会更好平衡,原版大弹匣要考虑到原版大扩散
