[CCC] – Military Cargo Bridge Composition

Description
How can I run this scenario I envision without a bridge where it needs to be? Will I have to spend another three hours faffing with unsuitable bridge assets trying to make something work? How can I simulate a prior bridging operation? How do I run what should be an exceedingly simple scenario with an objective to sabotage a bridge? What am I doing with my life?

These are all among the many questions that I’ve asked of myself whilst Arma 3 is running. I can’t give the latter a good answer, but if you’ve ever asked any of the former, you’re in receipt of some good fortune!

This composition uses the adjustable cargo platform (that snaps!) from Contact and base game HESCO barriers to create a highly modular and destructible bridge. You really don’t need this composition once you understand this can be made, but it may still make your life easier having it partially prefabbed for you.

AI will not understand that this is a bridge - self-driving APCs will not be able to cross this.

If you want to change the asset’s colours, they’re separated into layers. Select every asset in the layer and search by the item for a different colour variation to select. Using the base game platforms It’s possible to make woodland/desert tan/rusty versions of this bridge, with roughly corresponding supports.

The span length is fairly easy to adjust, and the width supports any known ground vehicle without feeling too cramped a driving experience, but you can expand or contract the platform with a little work. If there''s a variation you use, let me know - I'll probably update to include a version that has what you like.

The bridge will place as sim disabled. If you want it to be destructible, I’d recommend selecting only the suspended span to be sim/damage enabled. This way the ground supports will remain in place while the span can be sabotaged.

Pictured Bobcat not included sadly. Use of this bridge is prohibited in the Black Sea area.
