Apioids

Description
Apioids are highly social beings, similar to Terran bees. Each apioid hive operates in harmony and unity of purpose and serves a queen. Apioids are fiercely protective of their hive and queen but are otherwise peaceable beings. Advanced apioid species see the various subdivisions of their civilization as hives that belong to larger hives, and to attack one hive may well invite the wrath of the entire civilization.
