The small island republic of Altis and Stratis has fallen on tough times. Climate change destroyed swaths of the once-booming agricultural industry; a badly planned economic reform made most manufacturers leave the country; and a worldwide recession has left the tourist business standing in the shadow of what it once was.
Since 2021, GDP has fallen by over one quarter, and many Altians have lost their jobs while graduates and young people struggle to enter the workforce, leaving them to choose between migrating to the EU or America, living in poverty on the island they call home, or protesting the course of the current conservative government.
Now, in 2026, protests have erupted. Bigger than ever before, they brought day-to-day life to a halt. But over the last few weeks, the face of these protests has changed. What started as an organic movement led by farmers, blue-collar workers, and students who demanded financial help from Pyrgos turned into calls for the current government to step down and the "East Wind Party", a pro-CSAT political party, to take power. The Altian government, however, keeps on downplaying the situation and ignores all protests, turning the situation into a powder keg...


Over the last few weeks, voices have grown rougher, soldiers switched sides and took their equipment with them, and a political solution seems farther away than ever. Even NATO and CSAT started to increase their presence in the region, trying to mold the crisis into their desired outcome. The situation is reaching a boiling point.
