Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Bioferrite aims to bring several new weapons inspired by the hellcat rifle in Anomaly DLC. These weapons will have unique, triggerable abilities that consume bioferrite charges. Without adding too much bloat, this mod allows you to unlock unique, useful guns as long as you have bioferrite to sustain them.

From a short range shotgun capable of blasting your enemies with intense heat, through a battle rifle with an underbarrel flare gun, to a bolt action rifle with a long bioferrite bayonet, you will be able to really utisile this new resource in whatever way you want.

If you have Vanilla Factions Expanded - Pirates, you may enjoy the new Warbolter warcasket weapon, and with Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Heavy, you can enjoy the powerful heavy incinerator.

Vanilla Weapons Expanded is part of a series of mods expanding on everyday life on the Rimworld. When paired together with a brand new Vanilla Apparel Expanded and Vanilla Armours Expanded, you can bring something to your game that will keep you interested in it for days.

Q: Does this work on RimWorld 1.4?
A: No, it requires the latest game version.

Q: Do I need Anomaly DLC for this mod to work?
A: Yes, since it uses bioferrite as the resource, as well as the flamethrower VFX from Anomaly DLC.

Q: Is this mod CE compatible?
A: Not yet. Once it becomes compatible, somebody please inform me.

Q: Do these weapons spawn on enemies?
A: No, these weapons will not appear on any enemies.

Q: Where do I craft those weapons?
A: Bioferrite shaper after researching the Bioferrite Weaponry research project. Constructing Warbolter however is done just like any other warcasket weapon.

Q: Is this mod save game compatible?
A: Yes, you can add it whenever you like, however please remember removing a mod can cause issues.

I'll wait for CE to adjust to this, but I appreciate this addition and look forward to my new run afterwards. Thanks to the team! :D

Piercer Rifle has become a favourite for my hunters, since a manhunting cougar is no longer an instant death sentence.

Mistakes happen, it's fixed now, but calling it garbage is a bit uncalled for.

@Arcaron, same here! I had to go through a process of elimination of over 100 mods before this one was revealed as the culprit >:|

Until I get to play with the DLC, no. I have plans, but they'll wait for me to be ready.

Any plan for Vanilla Expanded Anomaly soon? There are alot of stuff that can be improve to the dlc.

@Icewave
I just went through the same crap!
My game crashed and didn't load properly anymore, so I re-installed it and every single mod. I was too lazy to subscribe to every single Vanilla Expanded mod individually, instead I did the obvious and subscribed to the whole collection. Ignoring that I have to unucheck the box (or at least NOT activate) the Bioferrite mod because I don't have the Anomaly DLC yet.
Why the hell does this mod tell steam that it needs Anomaly but doesn't tell that the game???
There is no warning, you can activate this although it won't work and f' up your game.
Please add the dependency in the mod so in the future you will be warned that this won't work.
This garbage took me two and a half days to figure out why I was stuck with the menu background screen and the game never managed to load with my mods activated.

I <3 the VE team

@oskar, it appears my lack of reading the dependencies is showing didn't realize I needed anomaly haha, sorry about that

Unless this is intended, I just noticed, you're able to craft these at both the machining table and the bioferrite shaper.
