(Updated) Bio-Cloning

Description
Introduces a few items that allow you to revive crew. It's balanced around and mainly designed for permadeath modes, though can be used anywhere.

Adds 4 new items:

Clone pod (5000 mks)
Requires power. Drag your nearest dead crewmate to the clone pod and insert their ID to clone them, allowing them to keep their skills and play as the same character. Leaves the clone with temporary weakness and a stun until the cloning process is complete.

It can be bought at: Research outpost, City (1.25x cost), Military outpost (1.4x cost)

Speed cloner (8000 mks)
A faster clone pod that has a shorter cooldown and finishes the cloning process faster. Causes more permanent damage to the clone than the clone pod.

It can be bought at: Research outpost

Strange reagent (3500 mks)
A suspicious yellow vial. Very rarely found in wrecks and pirate ships. Drinking it will max out your cellular damage, making you uncloneable, but will remove all cloning-related afflictions after 1 hour. Dropping it will cause it to explode, cloning all humanoids or husks who were caught in the explosion back into their own bodies. This is the only way to cure cloning afflictions.

It can be bought at: Research outpost

Death card
Players dropping death cards toggleable via config.lua. Bots don't drop death cards.

Whenever a player dies, they will drop a death card, containing their genetic information. These can be inserted into a clone pod to clone a player with the same name as on the card. Skills and XP of the character is stored on the card. It slowly deteriorates over time, faster if in water, and the cellular damage sustained, skills and XP of the clone will depend on the condition of the card when it was inserted. The card emits a ping that gets progressively faster and faster as it reduces in condition, aiding in recovery efforts. It also floats in water.

The death card is not ideal compared to using an ID card, although it can keep a person in the campaign in the absence of a body or ID card. It always causes 3-4 random clone afflictions upon use, and heavy cellular damage.

The cloning defect system
This mod add 12 (+2 technical) cloning-related afflictions. Every time you are cloned, you suffer progressively higher cellular damage, which permanently decreases your stats and leaves you vulnerable to developing other permanent afflictions. Above a certain threshold, you will start developing random cloning afflictions which affects the character in other ways. All permanent cloning afflictions will carry between clones if you die again.

Cellular damage gained on clone depends on:
Current world difficulty
Limbs missing
Whether you were husked

Special permanent afflictions are also given for unique situations, e.g. head missing and death by barotrauma.

Does the update have all the features Nebuals fork introduces, or only a few handpicked ones?

I wanted to adjust a few things for my crew's campaign, and ended up making a Fork of this amusing mod that works with Neurotrauma Cybernetics (retaining organs/limbs on the old body so they can be extracted and reused; allowing organ transplants to treat some cloning conditions), fixes a few issues (the below ID Card localization issue, losing talents), and disables by default the "very funni" resetting of skills to 5 for decapitation/husk.

@the goofinator: I kept each change in a separate commit on Github, so if you'd like to merge in any/all of the changes back upstream into yours here that's totally fine by me!

If the player's language is not English, then the ID Card cannot be detected
