The woman known as Napua was one of Giselle's child-hood friends and a descendant of Sydney's sister. Having recently passed due to a disease that's had her by the throat since her youth, her spirit ceases to relinquish hold on her ailing body. The reason for this, unbeknownst to her family and friends (except for one), can be blamed on Puli. On his search for a facade to be used to avoid being discovered by Llomeshia, he had inadvertently tethered himself to Napua's body while it rested in a morgue. This accidental act served to prevent Napua from successfully moving on, and not only that, it so happened to turn that fatal disease into what now sustains her undead yet abnormally fresh body. So in short, now both Puli and Napua in tandem are piloting what the pair comically refers to as a "flesh garden".. due in part to Puli's nature as a sentient and sapient insect and Napua's current perception of herself being a "healthy worm underneath infected soil". Not in a bad sense, of course. They're trying to make good of their current situation. Speaking of which, not only does the pair need to contend with Puli's drive to destroy his people's menace, they must now contend with Napua's family and their reasonable fright. Let alone how Giselle's handling it, a troubled woman in grief now faced with a returning friend and her companion. A scene eerily familiar to what happened between her and Cayenne. Neneoi is also tagging along in their endeavors.. geez.
