Blast The Volcano Coaster

Strap in and blast off on this launched Intamin SLC, inspired by Volcano: The Blast Coaster at Kings Dominion. You’ll twist over, under, and through a volcano, including a near miss with your feet dangling just inches above a magma chamber.

The layout was originally made in a few hours for intim305’s weekly NL2 contest a few months ago, and I’ve slowly been working on making the scenery since then. The design challenge for the contest was to make a coaster that only rotates in one direction. This ride only rotates counter-clockwise and features the iconic heartline rolls featured on other Intamin inverts.

I wanted the scenery to feel like something out of RCT2, with the multi-colored track, fantasy-ish theming, and the peep pack by CGW.


Be sure to check the park out at night! Press F6 in Play mode and change the time to midnight for best effect.

The scenery was a speedrun so it isn’t optimized. Lots of fog, lighting, and foliage might slow down some computers. Either lower your display settings or open up the park and delete some stuff (it’s not password protected so go wild).
