ARVN 'Expansion' - Vietnam War

This is a small infantry config faction made using SOG Prairie Fire DLC, Phantom Phixers and S&S assets. I really wanted to utilise the excellent range of ARVN uniforms, equipment and helmets from Phantom Phixers and S&S which accurately depict the ARVN during the conflict in South East Asia. I have tried to base the faction addon on research. In particular i have used several Osprey Military books depicting ARVN units from both the early and later phases of the Vietnam War. However i have added certain 'fantasy' elements to make use of some of the cool Phantom Phixers and S&S gear!

This is called the 'Expansion' as it goes beyond my other ARVN faction 'ARVN Vietnam War' in that it has the Phantom Phixers dependency,mainly for the awesome custom painted helmets the ARVN wore during the conflict, and also has better, smaller sleeve patches. It really serves to supersede my other ARVN faction.



I used ALIVE's ORBAT creator to make the factions so you cannot override the units' loadouts unlesss you have ALIVE loaded. I don't know how to get around this i'm afraid despite the fact that i have tried but just cannot understand coding that well. You can still add items and change gear once the mission starts through Arsenal/boxes etc.

You'll find the following groups in the mod under 'ARVN 'Expansion' - Vietnam War':

Infantry
- BDQ Rangers 1965, 1967, 1968
- ARVN Infantry 1970 (5th, 9th & 22nd Infantry Divisions)
- TQLC Marines 1968
- US Advisors to Republic of Vietnam Forces Early and Late War

Most groupings include; Platoon, Rifle Squad, Demolition Team and Sniper Team in Heavy (full equipment with backpacks) and Light (no backpacks) configurations.
