CAI NB-21 "Macronyx"

The latest and largest carrier bomber produced by Pydrinck, the Macronyx brings a truly stunning payload to bear against the enemies of the Imperial Navy. While only marginally slower than contemporary fighters the design also sports a trio of defensive guns (two to the rear and one to the nose) to ensure it is not rendered helpless to interception. Similarly in order to maintain its impressive top speed, three engines are employed; the most of any bomber at the time of design, though it would shortly be exceeded by heavier land-based aircraft of multiple nations. Flying too high for much shipboard anti-aircraft weaponry to engage, the greatest threat to the Macronyx comes from both high-calibre flak and determined fighter aircraft, prolonged attack from either, or worse both, likely to bring them down in short order. When operating in concert with the other arms of the Navy, there is little that can withstand their assault.
