Remember to take advantage of brushes and opacity to make blood.
Gimp has a brush that looks like a splatter, and I reduce the opacity, to create a sort of gradient for the blood.
Without gradient blood can look too cartoony.
Krita should have a similar thing.

The Rage infected have a form of Rabies, they are disoriented, and hyper aggressive.
Pine Maddness infected, are scared, and confused. Crying, and whimpering is something I want to add as the sounds they make.
Their aggression comes from the fact they aren't the one at the wheel anymore, something is puppeting them while they feel all the pain.
I tried to make them have a worried expression in the earlier stages, then mute their expression in the later stages to make them appear blank.
