Part 1: The scourge of the Datsun

On select missions or if FUBAR is enabled in wargame settings, your squad can expect to face vehicle borne IEDs or VIBEDs. These come in the form of the feared Nissan Datsun pickup, with their bed packed with enough exsplosives to make your hearing loss a service related injury. On missions like Objective Virginia and Phase Line Henry, these will spawn with their engines already on and will try to swarm your convoy from the north and south. While on other missions like Northern Train Station and Jolan Public Square, VIBEDs will spawn stationary and with their engines off to get the jump on your squad. Stationary VIBEDs can be marked, by going up to the driver side door and holding down F to spray paint it. However if you find yourself at the other end of a VIBED roaring towards you, the answer to this predicament is simple. As a squad leader your best tool against this threat is the M203 gernade launcher. Regardless of where it hits on the pickup one shot guarantees the pickup to swerve off the road and detonate shortly after. If you find yourself missing with your M203 shot or are a rifleman/breacher armed with the humble M16A2. Aim for the driver side of the windshield. On its own the 5.56 round cannot pierce through the 4 cylinder engine of the pickup. Unless say you had a M249 SAW, the fire rate would suffice to penetrate the engine block. Due to its 4 cylinder engine, the sound may come off as somewhat quiet. As you spend more time in missions like this you will become well versed in its audio cue.
Part 2: A trash bag full of artillary rounds
On select missions like Objective Virginia or West Manor, the player may encounter stationary IEDs put in place to halt friendly armor's progression. To bypass the squad must undergo three steps. 1.) Identify, the team leader must stay stationary and order another member of his squad to investigate the suspected IED. An IED tends to visually look like various munitions usually coupled with a trash bag and wires. 2.) Spray & Smoke, the responding squadmate should deploy red smoke ahead of the IED. When approaching the IED an interact prompt should show up telling the player to spray paint the wall. It is important to do this after the smoke is deployed. 3.) Shoot & Scoot, now that the IED has been marked the last thing the squad must do is proceed past the IED and dispose of the spotter. The spotter will appear as the convoy gets closer to the IED. Visually he will look like any other insurgent.
