Bloodletting Rebalanced - A Sliding Scale of Slaughter

Description
This mod turns the Bloodletting bar for Khorne (and Daniel) into a sliding scale of buffs and debuffs.

Now, the lower down you are in the bloodletting scale, the less growth you produce for your faction, as your warriors slake their blood-thirst on your own kin. However, depriving your warriors of honourable combat makes them much more eager to kill, and melee attack gets a little increase.

The higher scales are when your warriors are gathering blood by the bucketful. They no longer starved of slaughter, and as such see no melee attack bonuses. However, news of your success has spread far and wide; warriors flock to your banner and growth goes up.

Stuff like recruitment times and Khorne corruption are unchanged.

This also increases the bloodletting timeout by one turn, letting you relax and plan just a little bit.

Compatibility
Should be compatible with pretty much everything that doesn't touch the bloodletting mechanics.

Feel free to ping me if you do; I go by Rob/Modirob in there. I love that you've found success with modding as well!

I will also say, this mod I may end up shelving (but I'll keep it available for people running previous versions of the game) as the new system seemingly does what I want it to anyway.

I was originally planning on carrying over your values for a private mod myself and I have done that successfully but then I decided it would be nice to make a public mod that just restores the old vanilla effects completely for those that might want it.

Your mod was really useful in helping me learn which effect types needed to be changed given that CA moved away from global casualty replenishment in favor of casualty replenishment specifically for that army.

I'm thinking of starting work on a full Khorne overhaul to undo & rework a lot of the changes 6.0 introduced while keeping the positives so you may see me in the modding discord some time before or after Christmas.

Will do. Thanks again!

I'm more than fine with that for private stuff :) If you hop on, feel free to ping me!

I just watched some videos on the Khorne rework. They removed it from Bloodletting completely and added it to a generic growth building chain. I really enjoy the accumulating growth from maintaining momentum so I already know I won't enjoy it as much.

I have some limited knowledge of how to make simpler edits to pack files so I may just have a play around with editing your mod for private use. If I run into any issues, I will be sure to ask in the modding discord. Thanks!

Honestly I'm thinking of retiring this mod when that comes out, or at least not updating it; CA sorta solved the bit of bloodletting I didn't like with their upcoming changes!

That said, I'd still probably advise having a look at the new version fully before making up your mind - they could have baked more growth into other parts of the system, so it's always worth a gander before making up your mind 👀

If you really don't want to see otherwise, join us at the modding den and I'm sure we'll help you make yourself a mod that does what you want!

Will you be adding growth back to Bloodletting now that CA have removed it? It was one of the best features for Khorne for me.

I think that would work a lot better.
But you are correct, the mod may not be for me, was just trying to get an insight into weather it was something you had considered or not.
Anyways best of luck with it.
