Wargame Baranow [ZEUS CAMPAIGN]

Soviet forces are pushing across Poland when a unique opportunity arises around Baranow Sandomierski. Colonel Privalov undertakes a daring operation to cross the river and encircle a German division.

You will play as Captain Romanov, in command of a mechanized force. An RTS view will let you command your units in three separate Operations during this mini-campaign.

Soviet forces must storm the Baranow heights before they can push on to the bridge over the river. Captain Romanov must flank the Germans in the hilltop town, while support units fix the defenders.


While German forces are trying to blow the bridge, the Soviets must strike hard and fast to reach the river before the explosives are detonated. A German artillery battery complicates things, however.


Soviet forces must punch through to the highway to the north, in order to complete the encirclement. Germans may try to break out, and scouts report that big cats are on the prowl...

TIPS:

• Double-click J to bring up briefing and open the wargame manual.
  
• Press CTRL+B to directly control a unit. Leave UAV and press Y to return to the RTS (Zeus) view.
  
• The Operations are challenging, but by making sure your armor, APCs and infantry support each other, you should push through with minimal casualties.
