I actually got to shoot a mosin nagant bolt action rifle that my uncle’s friend had. Cool thing about it, along with being able to fire one, is that it came with the cruciform bayonet and was actually used in the Vietnam War. It is a very dependable bolt action rifle which you can count on Russian guns since their robust and incredible reliability is a military requirement for adoption. Given the climate extremes of Russia, knowing they can still function in such conditions in combat is very reassuring.
