Tweak NPC Faction Economic Thresholds

Description
Tweaks the NPC factions' economic thresholds and improves AI behavior to make economic activity more dynamic.
  • If ware production is insufficient, NPC station construction and expansion will become more active.
  • When constructing a station, the AI will first check if an expansion is possible. If not, a new station will be built.
  • If transport capacity is insufficient, NPCs will order more transport ships.

Note
  • To limit the number of stations, it is recommended to use the following mods alongside this one.
    Module Limit Expansion

  • There may seem to be a lot of ships. This is due to orders to cover shortages and the improving economy. However, this mod does not change the maximum number of ships ("maxgalaxy" in jobs.xml), and it respects that value. If you feel there are too many ships, it may be caused by other mods that add or modify jobs.

No problem, And yeah after more seta and letting the game run all night, I finished the plankton tasks and they didn't build more...
Anyway for other missing ressources I don't know as I'm currently battly my own shortages.
Still stable galaxy (custom start made me neutral with Kha'ak and Xenon and watching how it progress and help a little here and there)
Next order of opperation after this terraforming is finished is helping the split a little more as hopefully they can retake the 2-3 sectors they lost

Sorry, my English is not so good, so I may not fully understand your point.
When the station is shown as “Factory,” you can open its details by clicking the top-left icon on the map. There you can see what modules are being built.
I haven’t done the “Rising from the Ashes” terraforming yet, but I heard it requires a lot of plankton.
It’s a bit hard to explain, but even if the player needs plankton, the Queendom of Boron might not build new stations. I think they will only start building when the Bofu factories of the Queendom run out of plankton, for example if the player keeps buying it all.

Wow... I'm using this mod and after checking what the AI is doing I can't tell for sure...
Just fully emptied all trade offer they had and now I notice 2 new stations are being build, gonna help them to build it, who know maybe it's 2 new farms...
Side note: doing terraforming for the boron and not gonna build a temporary plankton farm for them and as I was checking all their farms I noticed they only have 1 Bofu factory... they may not need more but if I decided to go against them I'd focus on it and they would starve...

Anyway great mod, with all my mods installed that help economy so far the universe is pretty stable (only 2 sector that Split lost to Xenon (Just started to help them a little more not long ago), and the contested Xenon sector that are still in conflict... 12,5 day in (as the stat tab say))

I wouldn’t have made this mod if I didn’t need it myself...
In vanilla, the economy seems to collapse without player intervention. This is because of problems with transport and production. So this mod lowers the thresholds for when they are considered lacking.

But if I only did that, too many stations would be built. To prevent this, I made it so the NPC tries to expand existing stations whenever possible.

Module connection issues are from another mod, and docking congestion is a problem in vanilla, I believe.

Is it worth using the mod? Does it actually improve the game's economy, or does it cause a number of other complications, such as disconnected modules or dock traffic jams?
Neikotori 2 Mar @ 7:47am
Queues for docking appear near those stations whose goods are in high demand and which have very few M dock slots for docking. For example, yesterday I decided to put a new large station and I suddenly needed several million batteries. And near the nearest three battery stations, large queues of merchant ships formed, because these stations had only one 1M6S dock module.
The same is true for some ore processing stations, silicon, etc.
Well, then we will play with such problems until Egosoft decides to improve the randomization of station construction. In any case, thanks for your mods, they really help to adjust the game to your style of play.

I can't come up with any solutions with my current skills, so I would just try not to worry about it.
By the way, are the transport ships floating around the station really waiting to dock? In my game, I don't often see ships waiting for docking. Instead, most of the ships floating around the station are those ordered to "Fill Shortages." They purchase wares but have no buyers, so they end up idling near the station.
Neikotori 1 Mar @ 4:07pm
I tested for 5-6 hours. In general, stations are completed with a random selection of dock modules, regardless of the size of the station. Therefore, if you do not completely prohibit the AI from building the 1M6S dock module, then the original problem of queues will remain one way or another for all factions except TER and BOR. And over time, this problem will only increase. Here you either accept it and continue to play like this, or look for an opportunity to ban the 1M6S dock module.
