Fortresses RMG

Description
This mod adds fortresses to the Random Map Generation so they can spawn like cities, resources, etc. on random generated maps.


There's certain conditions under which forts can spawn, so maybe you won't see any in a randomly generated map. Basically, if there's no space left, the fort won't spawn, since it needs to be a certain number of hexes away from other structures in the strategy map.



-There's a 50/50 between a wood fort and stone fort.
They will spawn far from independent cities. dwellings and other forts.

-Water forts are on their own list. They will spawn far from Sunken cities,Maelstroms and other Water Forts.


-Defenders can spawn. They depend on the same configuration as all other structures that can spawn defenders (weak, normal, strong, etc.)

Requirements:
Updated the mod and only base game should be needed, but It'd be nice to receive feedback on whether this is confirmed. It works for me but I don't know if it works for others.
Previously all DLCS were required.


-Compatibility:
I use the Chivalrous intentions, Black Market and Racial Watchtowers mod and it works.
I guess it can conflict with any other mod that handles RMG if the mods' priorities are not handled.

Thank you for the new mod.

And need to turn the Dwellings setting on. I usually turn it off because i hate Dragon dwelling.
"Black Dwarves" mod still appears when all dwellings off.

Crash & crash, than add "Black Market" and "Racial Watchtowers", thanks to Júpiter

Hi, did an update to remove the requirement of DLCs 1, 2 and 3 (Golden Realms, Eternal Lords and Deluxe).
Hope this makes it so everyone can use the mod.
Also the resource packages used are from the base game, so not quite sure why some people need other mods to make this work. Maybe I'll look into it in the future, sorry for the inconvenience.

I happen to own the Deluxe edition. Maybe that's the issue.
At this moment I don't plant to work on making the mods available for other releases. Maybe one day I'll release the mods with only the base game as requirement. Thanks for commenting the issue, and sorry if it keeps you from using the mods. Cheers

When you say you need ALL DLC do you also mean the Deluxe Edition DLC? This mod and the populated bridges mod are the only mods telling me I'm missing "DLC1" even though I already have the other 2 DLCs installed.

That's bad, I wanted it to be independent but I can't remember now if I needed to include those mods for some reason.

Hi! I have the DLCs. It was not the problem. I've discovered how to make your mod work here: I had to subscribe to the other mods you use: Black Market and Racial Watchtowers! Now it works! Thanks for making this mod! I'm gonna play a game with it now. ^^

Hey @Júpiter is it possible you don't have all the DLCs?
I forgot to add it on the mod's info, but this mod would need base game + all DLCs.
Other than that I can't think of another reason for the crashes right now, But I'll try to figure it out..

Tried to play a random map with this mod, but the game crashes to desktop while generating the map. :( Sad, because it is a very nice idea.

Hey @CookieMagic, I'm afraid I haven't tried that mod so I can't say. Best thing would be to install them, boot game and when you create a new random map use some cheat to remove fog of war and check if there's forts on the map. The only thing this mod does is add forts to the RMG list, so at most it would stomp or be stomped by some other building in the list while the map is generated. Hope it does work, and please let me know if it does, cheers!
