Original Description:
If using the MedPod mod, GeodesicDragon's MedPod Patch may be required until fully integrated.


Side Effects

Injecting addictol introduces the "addictol detoxification" effect, causing the patient to go unconscious for around a day and spend the following day slowly walking around vomiting.

Research

Producing addictol requires researching addictol production, found after drug production.

Recipe

Addictol can be made at the drug lab with 2 medicine and 4 neutroamine, requires an intellectual level of 8.

Traders & Quests

Addictol can also be found in the inventory of exotic traders and as a quest reward.

It would be fun to have a small chance of failure to cure addiction, 5% or so... after days of intoxication and vomiting))

That was on the load screen, the first windows that pop on game main menu.
It was a yellow error, nothing too important, but I left the solution anyways.

So you're not able to make that error to happen? It should then be because of another mod I had installed, idk

during initial testing this problem did not arrise, i've retested but the issue doesn't seem to pop up? what were you specifically doing when this issue popped up? are you using other mods that add drug addictions?

It throws MissingMethodException for RimWorld.AddictionUtility.ModifyChemicalEffectForToleranceAndBodySize_NewTemp(...), which means Addictol was compiled against an older RimWorld where that API existed. In 1.5/1.6 the addiction/tolerance APIs changed, so the method isn’t there anymore.
The fix is to replace calls to ModifyChemicalEffectForToleranceAndBodySize_NewTemp with the current AddictionUtility APIs used in your game version, then recompile.

I understand the former commenters point, but holy frick did tynan make drugs unrealistically punishing. Its low cost functions to counteract the ridiculousness. Thx. Heck realistically people can even quit hard drugs with some smokeleaf.

Still taking other drug mods to make drugs more realistic/balanced
