FloodSlayer Demo

Description
A small demo showcasing the ability to turn enemies into flood.

Play as a flood infection form and infect all your enemies to turn them into flood combat forms. When all enemies are dead they will respawn giving you an endless fight and an opportunity to create a huge flood army.

This mod was made to show the potential of this gameplay mechanic. I think this could be turned into a proper mission and I will assist whoever wants to do it. I have no plans to do anything more with this myself. If you are interested please contact me and I will explain how everything works.

Known issues:
Marines sometimes T-pose when being infected

Oh that will fun playing as the outbreak. Keys, and Pillar of Autumn would also be awesome to play, too. Traveling through vents and slipping in on unsuspecting crewman survivors or infecting elites that are distracted by waves of combat forms. Don't know if you can use another modders stuff to infect jackals, or infect grunts and either turn them into a grunt combat form or a carrier form, but if you manage that it would make this all the more awesome.
I never got to play the old flood mods for PC Halo CE, but god do I wish I could have. Here's hoping you enjoy making these, cause more flood mods are very much welcomed in the sea of rehashing of the same campaigns.

Like seriously, someone made a skyrim werewolf mod to play as in Halo 3 campaign, like cool and all, but come on!

@Auriel [GER] each flood infection form would need to be individually scripted to infect enemies and that would not only be very tedious, it might overload the game's scripting limits. I haven't played that mod so I'm not sure how much it used flood transformations.

In other news, I am actually working on a Guilty Spark mod where you play as an infection form. It will be a short mission but it should be pretty fun.

I wonder if this could be used to port Flood Virulence to MCC?
As far as I know the main problem was that the infection mechanic is not portable
to MCC.
What if the infection mechanic would be replaced by this mechanic?

I really hope other modders come along and use this. Just this simple demo was fun, sneaking, jumping an hugging the first unsuspecting marine or elites face, then hopping from head to head, growing a horde. Got to a point where I couldn't get many infections in as the elites or marines spawn in a meat grinder. Makes me wish I could infect the already dead ones.

Very fun showcase. Will defo play it more just for the hell of it, I hope someone picks it up and decides to either do a full mission or campaign with it. Good luck with any future projects in the works.
