Description
being that grunge is first map i've finished and let out to the public, the support this map has gained is overwhelming.
seriously, thank you.


Once a bustling metropolis pulsating with life, now an eerie labyrinth of broken concrete and twisted metal, an abandoned city stands frozen in time, its once vibrant streets now silent save for the whispers of wind through shattered windows. Graffiti, like spectral echoes of the past, adorns every surface, telling tales of rebellion, despair, and fleeting hope. Among the faded colors and cryptic messages, remnants of disaster linger: the haunting echoes of car accidents immortalized in twisted wrecks, and scattered puddles of blood, silent witnesses to the tragedies that befell this forsaken place.

for learning mapping, i'd recommend the tutorials this guy did a while back

hammer and source have been around for a while, so there should be tutorials for basically anything you need to do :)

My one complaint is this is called Grunge but where is Nirvana and Alice In Chains and Pearl Jam? Or sound garden and superheaven?

In 1988, the crime rate in the United States rises four hundred percent. The once great city of New York becomes the one maximum security prison for the entire country. A fifty-foot containment wall is erected along the New Jersey shoreline, across the Harlem River, and down along the Brooklyn shoreline. It completely surrounds Manhattan Island. All bridges and waterways are mined. The United States Police Force, like an army, is encamped around the island. There are no guards inside the prison, only prisoners and the worlds they have made. The rules are simple: once you go in, you don't come out.

ye right, that makes more sense, most first maps released on the workshop have no light_environment and usually don't have much in them
