Description
Camera effect for Garry's Mod. Changes the death camera for players to behave more similarly to the death camera from Red Dead Redemption 2.

Not an exact 100% recreation, but a close one.



Features:
  • When the player dies, their death camera tries to mimic the death camera from Red Dead Redemption 2 and the game slows down through host_timescale. sv_cheats 1 is recommended to avoid anomalies.

  • The effect lasts about 6 seconds before the player can respawn.

  • The death camera is focused on the player rather than slowly aimed up similar to RDR2, to enable compatibility with serverside player ragdoll addons.

Limitations:
  • This addon has only been tested for Single Player. There may be unnoticed bugs during multiplayer matches.

  • Originally, the camera was locked and scripted to slowly point up, but this concept was cut and simplified as it was too janky in functionality (thanks saucy engine).
