MiG-29M "Fulcrum" Fighter Jet

Description
This is my build of the MiG-29M.
The MiG-29 was developed alongside the Su-27 as a response to the F-15 during the 1970s, with a focus on aerodynamic performace and maneuverability. It succeeded in those aspects, being arguably the most maneuverable 4th gen fighter. But more advanced sensors in the Flanker and western aircraft left the MiG lacking.

Weapons
  • 4 R-27ER 120km long range missiles
  • 4 R-60M 1.5km dogfight missiles

Features
  • High maneuverability and 560km/h top speed
  • Ejection seat with automatic ejection if control is lost
  • Parallax-corrected HUD with IR overlay for nighttime flying
  • Automatic chaff dispensing
  • CCIP for cannons and rockets
  • Clutter-free dogfight mode
  • Target tracking with selectable targets
  • Wide arsenal consisting of a cannon and 8 weapon pylons that can carry a combination of:
    • Bombs
    • Rockets
    • Radar guided missiles
    • Type 1 and 2 GPS guided missiles and bombs (supports all of my GPS missiles)

Usage
Flying
  1. Turn on "SYSTEM POWER"
  2. Turn on "ENG", enable "THRUST SPOILER" and turn up the throttle to 0.4
  3. Turn off "THRUST SPOILER" when the engines have spooled up

Instruments
Radar:
  • Change the selected target with the up/down keys, the active target is displayed in blue
  • Enable "DOGFIGHT MODE" to always select the closest target
HUD:
  • Targets are outlined with a box, the colors have different meanings:
    • Blue: The currently selected target
    • Yellow: A tracked target
    • Red: A target
  • The virtual horizon is indicated with a green line
  • Bearing is displayed at the bottom
Radar Display:
The radar display is a B-type radar scope. That means distance is shown on the y-axis (up-down) and the angle from the aircraft centerline on the x-axis (left-right)
The distance between range markings is 4km, and the max angle from the center is 18°.
Map:
You can zoom in/out by using the toutchscreen.

Weapons
Select weapons systems with the toutchscreen.
Targeting:
R-60
  • While in first person, look at the target and fire the missile
R-27
  • Lock a selected radar target by pressing 1 and then fire the missile

Technical details
The on-board weapons system supports cannons, rockets, bombs, radar-guided missiles, GPS guided missiles and bombs. These can be mounted directly to hardpoints or onto appropriately configured pylons.

It works fine for me Jax, did you follow the "Flying" part of the How-to-Use? I don't have the industrial or space DLC, so if you have those they might be what's breaking the craft...

Thanks for the feedback Hero! I can't update it now, but I'll try to remember to do so. For the weapon display system I agree the names are unclear, but I don't know what else to call them as I only have 5 characters :/

A very beautiful plane, the cabin is beautiful again! From the notes, I would make the circle Much brighter, and rename the weapon display system. :(
I liked the concept of switching targets, very unusual!
