Comically Large Block of Cheese

Description
Ever felt that cheese cube we praise in upcoming anomaly DLC is just a little bit underwhelming? Want to demonstrate true devotion to our one true meaning in life the cube? Want no longer with the Comically Large Block of Cheese, the solution to all of the world's problems! Or at least, the dairy related ones. This leviathan lactose sizes up at an astonishing 19x19 tiles. While extremely expensive in both research and materials cost, they do provide their usefulness in a variety of ways to your colony.

This is a low effort joke mod I spent about half a day on and going into this I had no graphics experience, I watched a 13 minute youtube tutorial and made these textures. I apologise for the low effort and horrific balancing, but after seeing the great cube cult form I just had to, right?

What's Inside
This mod contains two comically large cheeses for base game along with four comically sized research projects, adding a fifth colossal cheese and research project as well as additional features to the art cheese. These of course require solid terrain and cannot be placed under roofs.

Monument Cheese
  • Provides 4000 beauty and a 48 tile artistic meditation bonus with Royalty DLC installed.
  • Costs a substantial amount of milk, plasteel, and components.
  • Requires a combined 11000 research cost in industrial and spacer research, as well as Fabrication research.
  • Its a beautiful, massive block of cheese, what more could you ask for in the center of your base?

Quantum Foam Power Generator Cheese
  • Generates a whopping 52480mW power without having issues being out in the rain, generating clean energy
  • Requires a large amount of milk, steel, and spacer components to construct.
  • Requires a combined 15000 research cost as well as Fabrication research.
  • Did I mention this thing is insanely explosive if damaged? While all these cheeses have a massive amount of hitpoints, this one in particular will create a massive explosion if destroyed, so protect it to your best abilities I guess!

Mech Super Booster Cheese
  • This massive cheese consumes 5000mW, however, it acts as a mech booster structure except with a massive 56 tile radius, essentially covering the entire base and only requiring one! Also has a high beauty stat, to work a base centerpiece.
  • This one costs an AI Persona Core for cheese lore reasons, as well as a decent amount of industrial components, spacer components, and milk. Sure these are all expensive and maybe not-really-worth-it, but you have to, its a massive block of cheese. Such a thing is a staple for every well functioning colony last I checked!
  • Requires a combined 15000 research cost as well as Fabrication, Microelectronics and High Mechtech research projects completed.
  • Requires Biotech DLC.

Compatibility
  • Should be safe to add to save games.
  • No known incompatible mods.
  • Contains patches for VGP Vegetable Garden and VFE Insectoids, allowing use of chocolate milk and insect milk from their respective mods to be used as fuel for the power generating cheese.

Thanks

Thanks to #mod-development in the Rimworld discord for putting up with my stupid questions.

Thanks to @sveinnblot for coming up with the name neo-lacosium lol

@Aphasia I would need to make a new texture and spend a lot more time messing with the functionality of it but I made a quick test version of a 30x30 cheese that's all in one and more. Colonists can now use it as a workbench for anything, research, and even sleep in it (sometimes they despawn when sleeping in it so we'll just assume they got lost in its vastness until I figure out how to fix that). Am I doing this right...?

ok ok but I could use that half of the map for making MORE CHEESE, but if THE CHEESE™ is that big, I can't work on THE CHEESE™ without space to craft THE CHEESE™. capiche? i cant connect my cheese mechs to THE CHEESE™ if the mechs cant leave because all the walls are blocked by THE CHEESE™ and my pawns are starving because the front door is covered up by THE CHEESE™. that and the raiders. the raiders. that many THE CHEESE™'s will lead to raiders beating the everloving crap out of THE CHEESE™ and nuking my entire map. thats why I need an all in one THE CHEESE™.

@Aphasia How could one not want to sacrifice half the map for THE CHEESE , what kinda crime is this?

If I ever get to reworking this mod, which is a non-zero chance, I'll make sure to include something like an all-in-one cheese. If I do it though, it's gonna be even bigger than the others. Hell I might even make it a fucking gravship cheese.

this giant cube is a godsend for endgame, because it allows me to have the dumbest form of infinite power and mechs. An all in one cheese would be nice though so im not forced to block off half my map with THE CHEESE

@Brybry I'm surprised anyone actually uses this mod, but no problem :p

This mod will mostly likely work fine on future versions even if I don't add a version tag, I'm just doing it so I don't waste the time of people that continue mods so they can focus on mods that actually need to be updated.

Didn't really expect to see this update. Thanks!
