The Foxtus-Class Interceptor is a variant of the Kroznikov, specializing in stabilizing a warp field for longer periods of time in an attempt to help quell rising pirate activity and the growing disdain towards the UCSN for late arrivals during emergency situations. Though a limited production run of twelve ships, this upengined Kroznikov does sacrifice half of its supported firepower hardpoints for a great increase in speed and acceleration, being a sidegrade for a specific purpose.

Though while in combat, the warp ring when deployed does offer substantial protection for the nacelles from incoming fire from the adjacent side, ultimately resulting in higher protection and maneuverability with a fall in firepower - a very strange combination, but an effective one!
