Random Changeling Start Position

Description


This feature was pulled from my Better Trickster Cults mod by request to be a standalone mod. No other mods are required to use this mod. This mod is NOT compatible with my Better Trickster Cults mod, so please do not use them together.

What it does
This mod simply lets The Changeling start in a random theatre each new game. This works for both the Immortal Empires and Realms of Chaos campaigns.

This mod can be toggled on and off using MCT, but MCT is not required.

Compatibility
- This mod should be loaded after other mods that modify or overwrite the original Changeling script functions, as this mod adds functionality onto those original functions.
- This should be compatible with the Realms of Chaos, Immortal Empires Expanded, and The Old World campaigns as well.

Feedback
This isn't a mod that I use, so let me know if you run into any issues.

@Rustic Clover - it works perfectly well in multiplayer, I had played entire campaign against myself (with mod) via two PCs since these pathetic devs refused to make hotseat...

@Rustic Clover - Should be. I haven't tested it in multiplayer yet, but I always try to aim for multiplayer compatibility.

@Sköll - That sounds like it might the result of a bug in a mod somewhere. This mod doesn't change the number of missions required, and the number stays the same for me with or without this mod. This mod only swaps mission rewards if the corresponding MCT setting is enabled.

If you aren't able to complete a theatre with half the missions done, or with all of them done, you might try saving and reloading, or playing a battle to cause the campaign map to reload. If that works then it means there was a bug in a mod that caused the code to crash.

If you aren't able to complete a theatre at the halfway point, but you are able to do so after completing all the missions, then that sounds like the code hasn't crashed and someone maybe modified it to be that way.

this mod makes the amount of minor schemes required to perform grand scheme the total amount of minor schemes in that theater, is there a way to fix this?

This latest update includes some bugfixes and polish for other campaigns. Everything tested fine.
