[MTF] Hecate Screening Corvette (KAA)

Description
Magnetar Technologies and Fleetworks' Hecate Class Screening Corvette is a small yet robust defensive vessel designed to protect the rest of the fleet, or any other friendly assets, from incoming missiles and hostile strike craft. With a high powered radar system and advanced sensor arrays, the Hecate Class can quickly detect and designate threats to be picked off by its array of four MG-800 Tāne Heavy CIWS turrets and two rocket turrets. Two main hydrogen-fusion drives, each producing up to 7.2MN of thrust, enable the Hecate Class to quickly change its position, and oversized FTL systems give the vessel excellent range. The Hecate Class is operated by a crew of 12, with four members in three shifts of eight hours each.

KAA-158 Storm of Defiance, a Hecate Class, was constructed in 2243 at the MTF naval yards above Sanctuary, and was assigned to the 𝜏 Bootis system. There, it performed escort and patrol duties until becoming the one of the first ARN vessels to see combat in the Vega War.
