Windrunner P-1

Description
I'd like to dedicate the Windrunner to my beautiful wife for her love of small cute craft.

CREDIT: This build was heavily influenced by The Gnat created by nukeguard. Go give it a thumbs up!

INTRODUCTION
The Windrunner P-1 is a bare bones Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft. She utilizes thrust vectoring to simultaneously hover and move forward or backward. This system makes the P-1 extremely efficient without the need for a heavy power delivery system. Despite it's size the P-1 is capable of carrying two engineers and some cargo.

She is a ton of fun to fly! However, you will need to learn some "maneuvering boundaries".

1. Don't try to bank any more than a 45 degree angle or you will slide into the ground faster than the system can recover from the turn.
2. Try not to mash all the control keys at once or the system will max out it's power requirements and you will find it hard to recover if too close to the ground.
3. She does not have any landing gear or pads so you will have to manually turn off the thrusters (Number 3 on the control bar) in order to land.

Besides that, the P-1 is a great first flyer in any world! For any further troubleshooting feel free to read the User Manual located in the cockpit inventory or just comment below.

REQUIREMENTS
The P-1 uses Thrust Vector OS by Vantablack Pyro for the vector control system. This script should already be loaded into the programmable block so it's not really required to subscribe unless you want to use it elsewhere.

Anyway I hope you enjoy!

Special thanks to Luca The Guide for doing a review video on their YouTube Channel!

It has two reactors. It's not survival practical but it was the only way to give it enough power to fly.

I really do love these tiny personal vehicles. My only question is how do I recharge this?

Oooo great idea! I'll have to you with that idea.

this is awesome, I love flying it. I would love to see something similar slightly bigger that could be used as a starter ship, maybe like a huey in size. overall thou excellent mod Thank you

Good idea!

I would use a rotor head at the back of the hull, low to the ground, probably parallel with the ground. You can use a simple piston, rotor and hinge 'fueling' arm from another grid at landing pads if you design them a particular way.
This is how I fuel certain compact designs that can't generate their own power.

Yeah the reactors do limit it. But I'm pretty sure that NPC shops will sell uranium every so often. I was just hard to incorporate a system to recharge batteries in survival and it limited the range drastically. But I'm glad you like it so much!

It looks so amazing it got me into space engineers again! however, it's not very good for survival as it needs reactors...

I replaced the beacon, spare seat and the reactors with small batteries and that worked fine!

Maybe you could make a 2nd version that is survival ready so you don't need uranium?
