Description
The 3000 Series (3000形) is an EMU operated by Odakyu Electric Railway on commuter services in Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefecture.
The most numerous type in Odakyu's current rolling stock, 336 cars in 47 sets were produced since 2001. Originally operating in 6 or 8 car sets sometimes coupled to other types, additional cars were produced since 2010 to form fixed 10-car sets. The 3000 series operate local, commuter rapid, and express services on Odakyu's Odawara, Enoshima, and Tama Lines.

Maximum design speeds are used, operational speeds are 100km/h on Odakyu Lines. Capacity is calculated using 200% crush, which is a common occurrence on commuter lines in Greater Tokyo.
