A small mod that takes note of where exactly every character is born (specifically via event), and displays this location in the birth date tooltip.

This applies to every character born after game start for as long as they are alive. Historical characters at game start can also have birth locations, however these have to be added manually by me.

- Birth locations are 'lost' on character death and will no longer display.
- Only a handful of historical characters at game start have birth locations so far. If you have any suggestions for missing birth locations of historical characters, by all means let me know and I'll add it.

If you have any other suggestions for the mod, I'm open to exploring them further. For historical character birthplace suggestions please use this discussion.

The newest update (1.6.6) updated compatibility with CK3 1.17. Also revised the French and German translations of the mod (special thanks to Akkihico, Frazesco, and alphabet165)

The last (real) update (1.6.2) updated compatibility with CK3 1.13 and Roads to Power. I've also just barely started to add Birthplaces for starting characters in the new bookmark however the vast majority are still missing. Currently I've only added birthplaces for the Capetians (France), some Plantagenets (England), Hohenstaufens (Barbarossa's fam in the HRE), and the Basileus of Byzantium and his kids. However as always, all new characters born after the start of the game should get birthplaces as normal.

The mod is compatible with any other mod that doesn't touch the character window (window_character.gui) NOW ALSO: the 'game_rule_create_spouse_and_children' which has been edited to assign birthplaces to generated families on game start. Otherwise loading this mod last might still work (no guarantees), but other mod stuff in the character window (e.g. new tabs, different layouts, etc.) will be overwritten.

Modders seeking to add compatibility with this mod can check for the global variable 'hometowns_is_loaded' which is set on_game_start.

This addon is highly recommended as it serves as a compatch as opposed to just adding starting character birthplaces.
