If the original author requests it, I will remove this update.

If you run this mod without one or more of the mods below providing sugar/honey, it will throw errors.

Core - Berries, Agave

Vanilla Expanded Plants - raw sugar, fruit
Vanilla Expanded Cooking - canned fruit can't be made into jam
Vanilla Expanded Factions: Vikings - honey

Medieval Overhaul - sugar
Pirates! Gold - sugar
RimCuisine2 - sugar, honey, agave, fruits
VGP Vegetable Garden - honey, fruits
Bees - honey
Misc Bees'n'Honey - honey

Alpha Bees - all honey types

(These use 40 berries/fruit and 10 sugar/honey for 20 jam)

(There was originally nutrition-related code, but it made the recipe require huge amounts of ingredients. I'm looking at reimplementing at some point with more reasonable values.)

Original mod notes (1.3):

Ever wanted to use sugar for something a bit more productive?

This mod will allow you to keep fruits and vegetables safe from rotting by introducing a classic technique to keep them from rotting.

Introducing JAM, using sugar and most plants you can get ahold of you can start to create a long lasting fruit preserve, can be used in meals, pemmican and can be eaten on its own, low weight and able to be a supplement to pemmican.

Coding - SalmonToastie, (Sargs message also helped, who knew you'd need a patch for the fruit?)
Zaljerem for yet again a 1.3/1.4/1.5 update and fixing stuff.

Art - The lovely SirLalaPyon, For the Jam jars and the thumbnail (Recommend for any of your artistic needs)

Does anyone know if this works with the honey from VFE- Medieval 2?

Thanks for the report, pushing an update momentarily to clear the error.

Updated: Hopefully with a correct Vanilla Plants/Cooking patch setup.

Actually I have a messed up patch, I'll be pushing an update momentarily. Apologies.

LouIdZarcs, did you get that error from trying to jam canned fruit? cause, the error mentions canned fruit...and it's part of the mod that you can't turn canned fruit into jam, so...

Thanks for your patience, I just pushed an update that should address that.

Thanks for your work. Patch for VCE has txt, not xml format. So I can't use sugar from VCE.

Thanks!
