Description
NOTE: I AM NOT THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR OF THIS MAP! IF YOU ARE THE ORIGINAL CREATOR OF THE MAP AND WOULD LIKE ME TO TAKE THIS DOWN, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
This is a rough port of the classic aim map “aim_warmup_d”, originally ported to CS:GO (2013) by forgotten/PLAYCASTERS.
I have taken it upon myself to port this map over to CS2 due to what seems like an anonymous creator nowhere to be found online. And the original porters have yet to answer me. Plus it seems PLAYCASTERS no longer functions, their domain is up for sale and their social media is inactive.
I strongly recommend selecting the "custom" mode as it offers more bots. "Casual" works as well, but it limits you to 6v6. The "deathmatch" works, but do let me know if you get crashes. Normal deathmatch also has chickens, if you don’t want chickens go custom and paste the commands I have written at the bottom*. If you’re somehow really bad with cfg’s and whatnot I have a discussion page with my own personal config.

Changes:
  • Textures/materials: Walls and crates have been replaced since I couldn't locate the old ones. Importing external materials proved to be too cumbersome. Additionally, I've added the wall texture in more places for consistency.
  • Skybox: I picked a new skybox as the old one, the "office-sky-box", resulted in the sky just being black.
  • Wall with Crates: Previously, there was only darkness, so for consistency's sake, I created a new wall.
I spent around 3 hours trying to make this work, guided by the two very helpful videos made by Filous CS and Bibo.
Current problems:
  • (I will not fix this), On the crate-wall, you can't walk all the way to the edge; there's an invisible wall that prevents it.
  • Old textures, as stated, are not imported and it is a bit of a hassle to do so. The colors are a bit off, so is the lighting.
  • (Will not fix this), The cfg for map doesn't execute itself, which is fine, get your own.

*Btw, currently, in order for mp_randomspawn 1 to work, you need to be in deathmatch mode - by command you can do this “game_type 1; game_mode 2; sv_game_mode_flags 0; sv_skirmish_id 0;” - just be wary of spawning too many bots, or they’ll spawn inside each other.

@PapaHellmann, last time I tried to port the map the game with DM on, CS2 crashed, so I removed the option to do so. Something about valve having fucked up the "mp_randomspawn 1" command. Will look into.
