TREKORION: Obena-Class Cruiser | Tri/Xa (12 Slots)

The Obena-Class was an experiment in upgrading the Excelsior to a late 24th century standard, borrowing nacelles from the Sovereign and combining them with 24th century deflector technology from the same ship, utilizing advanced navigational shields instead of an ion-emitting deflector array from the century prior, as well as completely replacing the impulse manifolds. The purpose being an upgrade package to bring the dozens of Excelsior-Classes up to a modern standard without drastic overhauls.

The only known ship of this class, the USS Archimedes, was seen on Star Trek: Lower Decks, and we can reasonably presume the experiment was at least somewhat a success as the Excelsior-II would go into service two decades later, in 2401 likely with much of the experience of this class taken into consideration during the design phase.

For making this, I took the nacelles from a Sovereign and extended the saucer of the Excelsior - though I did not change the manifolds, due to how the ship was originally built I felt it may be more trouble than it's worth for a relatively minor cosmetic difference.
