L4D is action horror, I tried to reinforce the latter aspect.

This collection is best played either on a single player or local server.
Limited ammo, gun recoil, hardcore balance, deadly specials, and much more.
No Mercy on expert realism is a good place to start, or any of the L4D1 campaigns.

Stylistically this is inspired by L4D1 beta, & Cry of Fear.

There are 180 items in this collection, if the number appears lower it means some of the mods got hidden or removed by their authors. So, I made a backup archived version.[drive.google.com]
It comes packed with gothic font, startup screens & intros, it's a pretty old version of n-pack.

A few custom campaigns that I recommend
Base modpack file size is around 3GB.

I'll repeat myself, this mod-pack aims for hard mode.
This mostly suits seasoned l4d veterans, you will die a lot.
I really tried to push the survival action horror aspect with this.
The entire collection is balanced solely around realism expert.

Trash Stream, and The Last Slop are not covered in this pack.

Quick tips

- Pipe bombs serve as grenades, use them against tanks (be mindful not to blow your team).
- Witches will agro the moment they see you, they're immune to explosions, use molotovs.
- The SPAS, M1014, AWP & Scout got the highest DMG, they can melt anything.
- Crouching moderately reduces recoil, laser sights remove it almost entirely.
- You lose any remaining magazine rounds if you reload too soon.
- Adrenaline increases your reload speed, and lasts much longer.
- You can drop your items by typing "/drop" in chat or bind it.

Open the console, and type - bind G "say /drop".

* Whenever you drop your primary weapon your character will store away its ammo type.
If you have an empty SPAS, and you stumble over an autoshotgun, you can take its ammo.
All weapons have different rounds, smg's, snipers, shotguns, autoshotguns, rifles.

- You can mark special enemies, weapons, items, etc.

* Open up the console and type - bind T "+alt2", or any key you want.
Since I'm using the mute everyone addon this can prove useful in co-op.

- You don't have to wait for my mods to load each time you launch the game

* Once you have the mods installed.
Navigate to "Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons".
Inside the workshop folder - cut & paste everything just outside the workshop folder (to addons).
Make sure to unsub from all mods so they don't reinstall all over again upon the next launch.

Nightmare revolves around tactical movement speed, and mute survivors.
Choose if you prefer to have the original experience, or keep things lite.
You can also spice things up with the permadeath vscript, if you wish.

I have some other collections worth checking out, if you enjoyed this one.

FEAR - a more tactical stylized slower-paced hard mode.
Grit - an alt version of nightmare, different style and dynamics.
Tenebris - If pitch black darkness just isn't enough for you.
Blood Red - plays like vanilla, focuses on monochromatic red.
Tundra Terror - a mixture of all my packs, with a splash of winter.
Frozen Hell - Snowy n-pack, nothing really else to say.

Nightmare is a personal collection first and foremost.
