NOT COMPATIBLE WITH RT56 AND WILL NEVER BE

📍In HOI4, France, even with the "La Résistance" DLC, lacks content, and is unfun to play.
Our mod aims to fix this, making France more realistic, completely reworking the military, politics, and economy of France, giving France the experience that it deserves.
It is nevertheless highly recommended to use the "La Résistance" DLC while playing this mod. Problems may arise if you are missing it.

📍The French Republic in 1936 is a country in crisis. Governments succeed one another, and the French are more divided than ever. Ever since the Crisis of February 6, 1934, few have confidence in their government, and with the 1936 Election soon approaching, politics worry the French more than the growing threat across the Rhine.

Despite this, war is approaching. A war France has been preparing for for years. Germany has been cheating on the Treaty of Versailles for years, their desire for revenge known to all. Rearming to create an army to surpass France.

France, weakened by the casualties of the Great War and a persistent low birth rate has created the Maginot Line, supposedly to protect France so it may mobilize, but with it, came a purely defensive doctrine. Furthermore, many generals are appointed according to their loyalty to the Republic rather than merit. Likewise, the military has grown ever distrustful of the government, turning to extremist politics.

Thus is France in 1936. The last good diplomat died in 1934. Germany rearms without limit. The nation is divided like never before. France stands alone in a hostile Europe, their only ally, Britain pursues appeasement.

Maxime Weygand once said: "It is therefore necessary, at the threshold of this exposition, to banish the idea of a defensive military state, a term for which I see no equivalent other than that of powerlessness, a conception that can seduce because it favors a lesser effort, but which postulates defeat and the distancing of friends."
As of 1936, his prophecy seems to have come true.

"Despite our overwhelming superiority in men and hardware numbers, the french troops are counter-attacking in several places. I can't understand how those soldiers, sometimes fighting at one versus ten, can find enough strength to assault us: this is simply amazing ! I see in those french soldiers the same energy than with the veterans of Verdun in 1916.
