the whole $includemodel thing is normally used when the animations you want to use break when decompiling them and are irrecoverable.
since you're using my nmrih anims, you can just resort to the source files bundled in the mod. you don't necessarily have to use $includemodel.
happy modding
To clarify, I'm trying to learn to take animations from one addon and put them on a weapon model from a different addon for person practice/private use. For example, using NMRIH M16A4 animations and putting them on Querentin M16 Improved model
I'll work through the links and check out the Dead 4 Mods server! This looks like exactly what I need to figure out how to do this, though I really appreciate the offer to potentially assist with small sticking points. You rock

tho i'm not sure what exactly you're trying to do, what gun are you trying to put on which anims or what anims are you trying to put on which gun.
