This is a 0.10x version of Fewer Habitable Planets: 0.25x. Do NOT use both versions; only load one. See the 0.25x mod page for more details.

The new mod is a more comprehensive "fix" for how most people* expect the habitable worlds slider to work. This mod will not be updated.

It looks like 4.0 is fixing the unique/special systems part of the issue, but not the core issue. With that I'm considering reworking this mod.

- Drop special system reduction since that'll be handled by vanilla now
- Create a new mod Intuitive Habitables Slider
- Change the behavior of the habitable worlds slider, so it controls the total number of habitable planets in the galaxy
- In vanilla, the slider only controls random uninhabitable planets. Eg more empires, guaranteed starter planets, more primitives can all increase the total number of habitable planets in the galaxy and are not controlled at all by the slider
- With this mod, a 0.25x galaxy will always contain roughly a quarter of the habitables compared to a 1x galaxy, regardless of other galaxy settings. In my opinion, that's how the slider should intuitively work

I just updated the mod for 3.12.5 (one small change to one of the unique systems)

@erniftw it's working for me. ~15 uninhabited planets in a 1000 star galaxy
Make sure you have an up-to-date version of this mod by unsubscribing and resubscribing
Make sure you have Guaranteed Habitable Planets off if you don't want an extra 1-2 planets per empire
If you're using Real Space, make sure you subscribe to the patch linked in this mod's description

playing on 3.12.1 and the mod doesn't seem to work. I'm using small map and like 40+ habitable planets still spawn.

This is for 3.12. Note that the launcher will say it's incompatible because they randomly changed the version format to start with a "v" and I haven't added that yet

But what about digs? Is they also gone if relic isnt spawn?

It reduces the spawn chance of special/unique systems that contain guaranteed habitables (such as the 2 you mentioned) by 90%
