CUP - Conflict '27 - Alliance of Independent Nations

Description
As tensions rise between East and West, some nations cling to their sovereignty, freedom and independence.

Set in the near-future, the AIN represents a number of nations that do not align with either East or West. Equipped with a mix of dated NATO and Warsaw Pact materiel, these small nations will viciously fight to maintain their territorial integrity and regional interests.

Background
Born from a frustration that I couldn’t kitbash factions into a way that I really liked, I took it upon myself to pull this together. Heavily influenced by my own experiences and the Decisive Action Training Environment, the AIN provides a wealth of GREENFOR units to play as/team up with/defeat.

What’s Included
Eight pre-built factions:
• Atropia
• Everon
• Framland
• Pirtuni
• South Torbia
• Task Force Hannibal
• UNA Peacekeepers (Eastern equipment)
• UNA Peacekeepers (Western equipment)

21 CUP vehicle platforms including the Leopard 1 and 2, GTK Boxer and the Mi-35 with skins in the following liveries:
• Olive Drab
• Tan Drab
• UNA white (not applicable to all platforms)
• Lush Splinter
• Semi-Arid Splinter
• Arid Splinter

Five different uniform patterns (DPM, Digital, TAZ, Olive, Tan) in Smocks and UBACS with appropriate colour schemes for the following environments:
• Coniferous forest
• Arid Deserts
• Arid Mountains
• Mediterranean regions
• Pacific regions
• Semi-Arid regions
• Semi-Arid mountainous regions
• Tropics
• Urban environment
• Woodland forest

What's next?
In short, CSAT . The infantry units are pretty much done, however the vehicles will take another few months. Don't expect anything this side of Christmas!

“This mod sucks.”
Yes, it’s a bit rough in places. It’s been a one-man project and there are inevitably some details that I have missed. However, I am always open to any extra help. If there’s anything here that you think you could do a better job on and would like to lean in to the project then just ping me a message via these means.

Why do some of the vehicle skins look so dirty?
Because they’re supposed to. It’s a design choice – the AIN nations are not particularly affluent and they are making their way with whatever they had left at the end of the Cold War. It hasn’t aged well.

Probably not NATO, but CSAT yes. The infantry units are done, but vehicle skins remain a nause. I've taken a break from that project and and focused on some Cold War projects at the moment.

Are you going to do the CSAT and NATO equivalents?

I don't see why not! It'd be pretty low on my list of priorities for now as I'm working on some other skins for a different project right now. But yeah, I feel your pain - I also wanted some drab skins for a good long while. When I've shifted through the current project I'll look into it.

I've been looking for faction-neutral flat color reskins of CUP vehicles for a good while, nice work!
They'd be neat as a standalone mod, perhaps?

RIghto. I understand. It's not that I do not enjoy the CDLCs, it's more about that on average few people in the unit have them. Cheapskates!

I'd need to go back through the config to check the dependencies, but off the top of my head I think with was just a few weapons and weapon sights - so in theory yes. Any updates to incorporate removal of DLC-related content would probably be released as a separate mod though, otherwise it might break other people's pre-existing game content.

Any way to make it not require the CDLCs?

Dang, never saw this mod go up! I've been kicking around the idea for a Decisive Action Training Environment mod, so it's really cool to see someone give their own interpretation, especially from experiences! Cool stuff!
