By the way, it is since this April that the Permanent Wear is obsolete, it is not working that way anymore (and don't forget of @Roadent suggestion).
So, basically, brake pressure is governed by Chassis. The higher the chassis damage, the faster brake pressure drops on its own.
Also, I disagree that it takes up to 15% Total Damage to start seeing negative damage effects on the truck, at least in ETS2. At 0% Total Damage of the Chassis, skipping through a 9 hour rest makes the brake pressure not go down at all. At 5% Total Damage of the Chassis (1% wear + 4% damage), brake pressure after a 9 hour rest drops enough that a warning sound starts beeping once the engine turns on.
Also, curiously enough, ETS2 saves don't track the amount of brake pressure in the truck. Taking a 9 hour rest, having the brake pressure almost empty, then saving the game and loading it again makes the truck have full brake pressure again.
I'm so confused with this system.
