Dominion Faction Project

This mod requires Mixu's Mixer to work!!!
Make sure my mod is loaded after mixer
MAKE SURE YOU SELECT KOLTUS WHEN STARTING A CAMPAIGN
-if you dont select him and just hit start it will not load, im not sure why it is like that must be a mixu thing

This is my first mod and I am updating it frequently as I work on it and finish projects.

1/11/2025 Update

I added a total of 3 new war machine units.
2 of them are variations of a motorized wagon called the Carryall. the first variant is a T2 warmachine and it carries 4 riflemen and 2 shotgunners. The other variant of this unit has a upgraded crew with 4 light rifles and 2 flaming shotgun units.
The 3rd warmachine is a t5 heavy tank. This tank is called the sunbringer and features duel flamethrower cannons as well as aoe flaming melee attacks

This mod is not 100% complete, more units will be added as they are finished

*also not lore friendly this faction idea was completely made up with inspirations such as the Protoss from SCII, Kislev, and Chaos, as well as a little Tau from 40k. But this faction is supposed to stand out from the rest, imo it does quite a lot.


This mod adds a new faction to the game called the Barony of the Eclipse. They will be a member of a faction group called the Dominion (More factions will be added soon) The faction currently features a full roster of units, a hero, custom lords and a completely custom legendary lord, Koltus the Grandbaron.
The Dominion features a unique race called the Oculons. There is another race that will be featured called the Runix, for now they are featured in only a few units out of the roster. The Oculons are a race of people who reside deep within the planet. The Oculons worship their own gods and do not align with Chaos, Order or Death and are seen as a threat to most nations

I can create a lore section even though this mod is in no way lore friendly

Units

Infantry


TI

Volunteer Spearmen: cheap, expendable spearmen

Volunteer Pistolers: cheap close range gunpowder units



TII

Vanguard Legion: these units are close quarters missile troops that have a 4 shot pistol and shield

Charger Legion: these are close quarters missile gun-axe infantry

Volunteer Riflers: cheap yet reliable gunpowder units. Can get an early edge on some factions with these units

Volunteer Ironthrowers: gunpowder units that can shoot over units


TIII

Light Rifle Legion: these are the main infantry of the Dominion, carry 2 shot gun-axes

Eclipse Legion: these units use advanced weaponry that shoots magical bullets (prob gonna be a ror later)

Battle Rooks: large sentient suits of armor, wield heavy 2 handed swords and axes

Rook Cannoneers: large sentient suits of armor, carry mundane cannons

Alpine Headhunters: sniper weapons team, shielded

Dominion Soldats: upgraded versions of the volunteer legions

TIV

Heavy Legion: small squadron of heavily armored Dominion Legionnaires. They carry automatic heavy gun-axes

Tunnel Paladin (Sword and Shield): Heavy foot knights, strong defence. They are different than normal melee units as they are only in a group of 50. Battle line holders

Tunnel Paladin (2H Swords): Heavy foot knights, strong defence. They are different than normal melee units as they are only in a group of 50, carry greatswords. Anti Infantry

Runix Battle Mages (Heavens): strong magical melee units.

Rune Rooks: rook cannoneers that use magical cannons (explosive shots)

Royal Rooks: rook cannoneers that use shotgun cannons, close quarters

TV

Champions of the Underrealm: Very powerful hybrid units: Shielded and carry a handcannon that shoots heat rounds

Bulwark Legion: infantry piloting bulwark battle suits. 2 different variants

Rune Bear Riders: monstrous cavalry, use glaive/spears cause terror


TIV

Rune Bear Outriders: monstrous missile cavalry, carry bladed repeater rifles


Warmachines

TII

Light Mortars: close range anti inf artillery

Heat Guns: close range volley guns with flaming attacks

Carryalls: fast motorized war wagons, 4 riflemen and 2 shotgunners are aboard

TIII

Quad Cannons: 4 shot magical cannon infantry

Monowheel Tank: fast, flanking warmachine, shoots multiple explosive bullets

Aerospears: These are light flying warmachines, outfitted with a burst machine gun.

Carryalls (Legion Crew): fast motorized war wagons, upgraded with a t3 legion crew

TIV

Dominion Battle Tank: a powerful warmachine that has a 2 volley magical cannon shot, and a turret that shoots heat rounds at a decent rate of fire. Also has flaming ‘melee’ attacks

Dominion Warblimp: this is a very powerful airship that specializes in anti infantry and anti air. It is equipped with a flak cannon, 2 snipers (with explosive rounds) and a rapid firing 'machine-gun' turret.

Grand Bombards: long range anti large artillery

TV

Skybreaker Airship: This is a late game ultra heavy airship. It comes equipped with 2 devastating heavy mortars, 5 broadside machine guns, and 2 rear machine guns. It is very slow and heavily armored

Sunbringer Tank: heavy anti infantry flamethrower tank


Constructs

Rune Mech: powerful magical mech that shoots a volley of explosive magical shots


TV

The Rune Colossus: armored sentinel, uses a giant magic twinblade


Again this mod is not complete and I will update it as I work on it. It is quite an ambitious project and I am determined to finish it.

Mod owner hasn't played Warhammer 3 in forever. seems to really like War Thunder instead. Hopefully the new DLC will bring him back.

Agreed. Bugfixes are FINE for now, no need to push yourself with a big ambitious update!
