This is a simple scenario for a hardcore survival experience.

Resources are scarce, you'll have to travel to various planets and moons in order to retrieve the resources you require, and your jetpack isn't going to be doing you much good while gravity is dragging you down.
You're going to have to eat, drink, and sleep to remain in good health, scrounge for food and drinks and set up some farms to survive. And make sure you find yourself a comfortable place to lay your head at night, lest the souls of engineers less fortunate try to assimilate you in to their ranks.
Gone are the days of a lifeless solar system, you'll have to contest territory with a wide array of factions competing for supremacy both on the surface and in space.
Nowhere is safe, whether it's passing freighters that are bit too quick to defend their goods, a slew of meteors thrown from the sun, or a pod of filthy robotic pirates looking to take you out for your meager scraps, never let your guard down.

I'd strongly suggest using the plugin loader if you're not already. Build Vision, Build Info, HUD Compass, HUD Modern and Fancy, Flight Vectors, Block Picker, Welder Eyestrain Reduction, and Sneaky Sounds are some strong recommendations, and things I always use while playing SE. Some of these could be added to the mod list if you'd rather take that route, but I prefer having them available at all times.
