Description
All files required for the Last Bastion beta campaign
Currently only one map is included
Looking for feedback as we package up and optimize map 2
We've done what we can, but all the maps are large
Smallest is bigger than any stock campaigns in flow and other aspects

Last Bastion is a campaign set in South Boston aka "Southie", MA
Geographically, it's highly accurate
Multiple paths to vary game play
Two events that are picked at map load

Catastrophic events of a 20 something year old model and Maverick her blue mustang

As everyone gathers 'round the virtual table this Thanksgiving,
We want to express our gratitude for your continued support in our work
It truly means the world to us to be able to express our artistic vision, year after year
Might make an attempt to put on a happy face and complete this through other developers

TimeLordMagnums357 is known for fixing and completing abandoned maps and campaigns
There could possibly be an ending to this by remixing it with other maps
Or, I might contact other mutual developer friends and see if we can complete the original vision
Digging through old archives, we came across this unique campaign by ShotgunFX
Unfortunately, it was never completed, and they disappeared over the years

Some good things here, but a bit unbalanced. We had 1300 zombies on the first level. Looking forward to the last level being completed.

looking good so far, just too hard, because of many special infected, maybe put more pills and health stuff, sometimes i felt lost, but it wast not a big of a deal

The campaign feels quite messy what with endless waves of zombies and multiple SI swarming you. But at the same time, it feels kinda fun and doable...? I think it's thanks to the bot nav being surprisingly good despite the routes being complicated.
I was having a good time, but then my game crashed at that barn at the midpoint.
I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone at its current state, but I can see this campaign becoming great upon some further adjustments.:gearthumbsup:

good and hard challenge map! but Special zombies appear too often..:steamfacepalm:

Still kinda crazy to me though as 2018 does sound recent until you realize it's half a decade ago. Like damn.

You're welcome, btw! I hope the other people who have long abandoned their campaigns are still doing well to this day.

I understand. I prefer it this way, honestly. I'm fine with abandoned campaigns as long as I know their creators are still around and are doing fine. They stopped developing the campaign because they didn't feel like continuing rather than other external factors. Life is tough, sadly. And for ShotgunFX's case, it seems he's been really busy with work.

If the time comes that he returns to L4D, he's welcomed with open arms.

anyway, I remember him being a super cool user here
i'm sure he'd be okay with me having it re-uploaded if he remembers me
maybe he remembers I introduced him to TOG | K1chwa for some custom textures
this wasn't changed at all except for being one single download now
during his away time, there were clearly some big changes within Steam
oh, and thank you for reminding me about his YouTube channel
so he's at least most likely still alive and active somewhere, good to know!
