0. Important

In case you can't apply this automatically with the mod launcher, go to "Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\39540\3091945275" and put the .map into your map/lanfreegame folder and the gdsrtscoopspawngroups.lua into your script folder.

I. Intro

A free game mode map made for high level characters (~50). You lord over a mountain fortress and have to defend yourselves from demon hordes. The Aria resource is sparsely present in your territory but abundant elsewhere.

Thematically, this map explores an untold conflict between the dark elves and the remains of Uram's Red Horde in the Darklands.

II. Scripts

This map adds custom unit spawns to the end of the vanilla game's coop spawn script, starting with ID 151. You will encounter spawns and monsters that are entirely new to the free game mode.

The spawn script automatically replaces some of the guarding demons in their camps with much stronger demons should the initial guards be killed. This is on purpose.

Some of the spawns are very weak, but many in numbers, this is also intended and purely for visuals and the feeling of a demon horde being present.

III. Release

This is the first release, version 1.0. This map may not be balanced perfectly and it is best to wait for the strong enemy waves to come in before trying to exterminate the enemy camp. I might fine tune this map in the future.

IV. Free use

You can do with this map whatever you want. You can edit it or make it part of your own mod. I only ask to be given credit.

The beta mod launcher is the tool used to activate mods in the current SF1 beta branch. I do not know why the map does not work for you if you placed all files in the correct folders. It - may - be due to incompatible game versions. Are you playing on the public test version of the game? Only the public test version of the game has the mod launcher. You can access the public test version by opting into the SF1 beta through your game library menu.

I cannot activate this at all.
I have the .map and gdsrtscoopspawngroups.lua on the corresponded folders but still doesnt work.
What is this "beta mod launcer" you talking about and where can I download it?

Thanks for your feedback, I will see what can be done re. static (unknown 1/2) units and some more action. More camps is unlikely but maybe more actively attacking camps or I will edit the meta data to make them attack in greater numbers )

It is enough that access to your own source is available and basilisks have not been drawn at lvl 38 as my army, which can be given by demons, a lot on this map, e.g. those invincible, a few give them unknow 1 or 2 by standing still, etc. Overall, the map was cool, I had a great time playing there. Regards and the map is cool, but I think it can be set up somehow so that there are more camps even for one player, but I don't know where it would be, it would be full of these demons and it would feel like a slight difficulty :D What do you think about it? :guildseal: :goodhero: :evilhero:

@Zakon thanks a lot for featuring my map, I didn't understand a word you said in the video but maybe you can tell me here if you thought this map is perhaps too easy?

Also, this map has only one player spawn so far so it cannot be played in multiplayer (yet). If there is demand for a multiplayer version I can make one, it is no big deal.

Have you installed this map using the beta mod launcher?

If you didn't use the mod launcher, try doing that. If you used the mod launcher and it still doesn't work, then do the following:

Go to "Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\39540\3091945275" and put the .map into your map/lanfreegame folder and the gdsrtscoopspawngroups.lua into your script folder.

The errors you posted here appear to be related to the enemy spawn camps, maybe the custom spawn ones. The game cannot spawn my custom spawns if you didn't place the file called "gdsrtscoopspawngroups.lua" in your Spellforce script folder.

Hello 09Lip I need you´re Help! I have downloaded this Map and it is in the Game but when I try to start it my Game crashes and says this things: GdsMain.cpp(207): error: Assertment failed!
Message: GDS: CoopSpawn:Error while executing RtsCoopSpawnNT()for Coord 146/65

And after that another one with:

occurred at GdsMain.cpp:207
Message.GDS: CoopSpawn: Error while executing RtsCoopSpawn() for Coord 146/65

I hope you can help me with this cause my Girlfriend can use the Map...
I am from Austria i hope you can help me with these or maybe someone else please
