Description
Updated for version 1.16.2 and Khans of the Steppe!

Tired of taking charge of a new ruler only to discover that he put all his perks into Overseer?
Unhappy with half of the perks being almost useless?

This mod improves Lifestyles, their associated traits & adds more max schemes!

Now every tree offers powerful advantages and is worthwhile investing in. Minor bonuses that felt too weak have been buffed or combined, perks that felt out of place have been moved and new buffs have been added. More maximum Personal and Hostile schemes have also been placed to be unlocked. Playing a stressed character now also offers major advantages for those willing to play a game between life and a heart attack.

Some lifestyle trees like "August" have had only minor changes while others such as "Overseer" have been almost completely overhauled, keeping the general purpose of the lifestyle intact.

Note: This mod has an integrated version of my mod "More Schemes from Lifestyles".

Ok, great and thanks. I'm continuing to use it as is now since Coronations. So far doesn't seem to be any issues that I have seen.

@leonpoi Headline mentions version 1.16.2 (DLC: Khans of the Steppe) while the newest version is 1.17.0.1 (DLC: Coronations).
That being said, this mod should work with 1.17.0.1 (at least it does for me). Next update will likely come after All Under Heaven is released.

I notice that this hasn’t been updated for a while according to the Changelog, though the headline in the description says it’s updated. Is that because it doesn’t really need to be updated between patch and DLC updates?

The pinned thread mentions this is compatable with AGOT but needs the "Lifestyles improved for AGOT" mod, which currently causes bugs and looks like the mod hasn't been updated in a long time.

Is this mod compatible with the AGOT-mod?

And if I remember correctly, I restricted one or two of the ones I just mentioned to landed characters only.

I think it’s not so bad, especially (1)AI can take advantage of it(especially with other mods that make AI more active) and (2)intrigue is really bad against foreign administrative governments which don’t collapse no matter how many rulers you kill, (3) it becomes more and more focused on vassal rebellion management as the game progresses which requires a lot of schemes because you have a lot of vassals.

There’s one under schemer that requires only two investments(otherwise I felt the player gets stuck on 1 scheme for way too long).
And then there are 2 more at the very bottom before lifestyle trait(there isn’t really any other bonus the would fit the particular perk).
And another one in the middle of torturer lifestyle tree(so all the schemes wouldn’t be in a single tree).
And then there’s one under stewardship but that requires you to spent time on the stewardship focus(this one also exists so all the +schemes wouldn’t be in one place)

I really like your mod, but I think Intrigue is overpowered because it gives you access to so many schemes in such a short amount of time.

@Gef Thanks! And ofc, I’m always happy to explain to the best of my abilities ;)
If Roads to Power had come before Tours and Tournaments it would probably be quite feasible.

@Hdrote Okay, fair. I only have a very superficial understanding of modding so I didn't know. But the fact that contract schemes are actually travels sounds funny and sad at the same time.
Thank you again for the updates! I really like your improvements.
